Chris Sutton was Partner responsible for the design and gaining planning permission for this modern intervention in the historical river front context.
Situated in the Whitefriars Conservation area with a Grade 2 listed building, the new facade is faced in decorative brickwork, and completes the corner, connecting to the Victorian brick terrace fronting the river and the Temple area beyond.
The new roof top extension was permissible despite being within ST Paul’s height limitations due to not exceeding the intrusion of the original roof top mechanical equipment.
